O’Brien Electrical Taree & Port Macquarie is expanding. To support the growth of the business, we are seeking applications for an Experienced Electrician/Supervisor.

This position will have responsibility for the following:

• Delivering planned and reactive electrical services
• Assist in the planning, directing and controlling the efforts of the electrical team
• Mentoring new employees and apprentices
• Responding quickly to any emergencies
• Using specialist management software (LaserPro Enterprise) to track and allocate work
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures. With a strong focus on safety, Health, Environmental and Quality responsibilities,
• Be involved in the training and development of staff.
• Be involved in maintaining standard operating procedures and ensure that staff are trained and competent
• Identifies areas of risk and opportunities to help the business grow

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Experience and proven results in the electrical services industry
• Have excellent communication skills (in person, by email and phone)
• Be prepared to work in a team environment and help the team grow
• Be a clear and logical thinker, able to comprehend issues and work to resolve them effectively
• Be organised and able to multitask
• Enjoy dealing with new and potential customers and servicing their requirements
• Technical expertise. Experience in fault finding complex control systems would be an advantage but not necessary, or be prepared to undertake technical training
